Founded by Begüm Gökmen in 2004, Golden Horn Brass is Turkey's first and longest-running brass quintet. This core team, which has gathered the power of a giant orchestra, has been knitting music like a golden fabric with the most sensitive, most fragile, crystalline tones with their mastery of instruments since the day they came together. Consisting of distinguished musicians who specialize in both orchestral repertoire and education, the ensemble includes unforgettable jazz and pop songs and sophisticated arrangements of folk melodies, as well as works from the Baroque period and classical period, in their meticulously prepared programs.
Golden Horn Brass, which was selected as the "Chamber Music Ensemble of the Year" at the Donizetti Classical Music Awards, which was organized for the fifth time in 2014 by Andante magazine, represents Turkey in the best way possible in many prestigious organizations abroad as well as numerous concerts in the country.
